About CS Surf
Counter-Strike: Source surf rebuilt for the web: no shooting, just momentum. Ranked courses, server-verified times.
Strafe-and-turn surfing through classic courses, from a green start zone to a red finish, on 66-tick Source physics. A map browser lists each course with its author, tier, checkpoint count and your personal rank.
The HUD shows a live timer, speed in units per second, strafe sync and checkpoint splits against your best and the world record, with a ghost of your personal best racing alongside. Practice mode lets you save and load positions without recording to the leaderboard.
Online play joins community servers with chat, map votes and rotation. Ranks come from finishes that the server re-simulates before accepting, so cheated times do not stick.
About the game
An independent surf game, not a port and not WebAssembly. The movement is a from-scratch reimplementation of Counter-Strike: Source physics, checked against public KSF telemetry and native CS:S probes rather than copied from Valve's code, while the maps are the real compiled CS:S BSP files. Rendering is JavaScript with Three.js over WebGL.
Made by @0yield (project maintained by gavogavogavo).

Tips for CS Surf
- Surf physics reward smooth, wide strafes with A/D while gently turning the mouse: jerky corrections kill speed.
- Pick a movement style with F3 and learn it deeply before shopping around; each style has its own leaderboard to climb.
An independent browser port of a classic game, not an AI original. OttersPlay does not host game files and is not affiliated with the original publisher. Some projects require files from your own copy.
