About Null Range
First-person space dogfights with other players. Use sonar to find them, boost in, fire lasers.
It won Vibe Jam 2026, Best Art Direction.
A first-person space flight sim. You pick a ship (the NR-L Kestrel) and a loadout, either Pulse Lattice lasers or Vector Seeker lock-on missiles, then deploy into a live sector with other pilots. Ships are invisible until you ping sonar, which also reveals you, so every fight starts with a gamble.
A scavenge mode has you collect payload from common to legendary, and a bounty mode tracks kills. Credits buy upgrades in the Ship Outfitter when you land: radar radius, reveal duration, boost recharge and boost drain.
How Null Range was made with AI
Taylor built Null Range for Vibe Jam 2026, a jam whose rules require at least 90% of the code to be written by AI. He announced it as 'a multiplayer dogfighting space sim… built with Three.js'. Third-party lists credit Cursor; the creator has not named his AI tool himself.
