PaperRoute
About PaperRoute
Deliver newspapers by bicycle and keep your subscribers through seven increasingly busy mornings.
PaperRoute turns a suburban newspaper round into an arcade survival challenge. You steer between both sides of the street, line up deliveries and avoid hazards while trying to reach Sunday with subscribers remaining.
The important tradeoff is speed versus accuracy: a quick run is little help if missed deliveries shrink the next round. The opening route starts with ten subscribers and three lives. Dogs and traffic complicate the delivery windows.
How PaperRoute was made with AI
BuiltBySketch credits GPT Astra and Graft for the game and website. The public devlog describes an iterative build with Blender models; this was a developed project rather than evidence of a finished game from one prompt.

Questions about PaperRoute
How do I find the houses that need a newspaper?
Watch for raised mailbox flags and the delivery indicator. Line up with the house before throwing; passing a house is different from completing its delivery.
Why do subscribers disappear?
Missed customers cancel. Keep their deliveries accurate to preserve the following day’s route; losing all subscribers ends the week.
Can I play PaperRoute on a phone?
The creator provides drag-to-steer and tap-to-deliver controls, including a second-finger smash gesture. This review did not verify performance on a physical phone.
Is an X account required?
No. The entry screen permits a guest name. If you enter a handle, it appears with public run results, so choose it accordingly.
What should I check if the route will not load?
Use a WebGL 2-capable browser with hardware acceleration enabled. The game’s error screen specifically requires WebGL 2; a successful page request alone does not verify the 3D game.
Tips for PaperRoute
- Brake before a tight delivery window instead of attempting every throw at maximum speed.
- Use the radar to plan the next subscriber before crossing the street.
- If a dog chases you, use a thrown paper or pedal away rather than remaining beside it.
